For our October general meeting we heard from a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who works for a nonprofit counseling agency that offers services in a manner that is faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church. “Marriage is Therapy” is a teaching on the theology of marriage through our Catholic Faith and the psychological sciences. He taught us how spouses can (and should) be healing towards each other. He explained how in healthy Christian marriage each partner is Seen, Safe, Sane, and Soothed and what these terms mean. With this understanding we can begin to see how marriage is therapy! Hope you enjoy!

For our September general meeting we heard from the host of a nationally syndicated Catholic radio show. He spoke to us about living a sublime life in a vulgar world. He reminded us that in all our acts, in all our works, in all our behavior, imitate the good: be a competitor of the saints, keep your eye on the heroism of the martyrs, follow the example of the just. For our May general meeting we heard from a board-certified health and wellness coach and former Campus Minister at St Mary’s in College Station. She spoke to us on the importance of cultivating our charisms in motherhood. She gave us tips on how to discern what our own charisms are, how they can shift and present themselves differently throughout life, and how their revelation and our acceptance of them impacts how we serve our families and communities around us.

For our April general meeting we heard from a missionary who serves as the director of recruitment for Adore Ministries. His missionary work and testimony served as a powerful reminder to us that the Lord rebukes us little by little and that the road to heaven is built on our relationship with Jesus, not perfection in getting there. He challenges us to always get back up, come back to Christ and offer the same patience and mercies to others in our lives. Hope you enjoy!
